I have been a full-time math tutor for more than two years. Most of my students are in college and taking either algebra or statistics, but I am familiar with a wide range of math courses. My other preferred subjects are English and Latin. I graduated with a B.A. in English from the University of Florida. My concentrations were film studies and art history. I also have professional experience in journalism. Regardless of the topic, I work with students to assess precisely what skills should improve to better their success. Very often, reviewing the basics makes a significant difference. We all need solid fundamentals before we can move on to bigger and better things. As always, rates are negotiable depending on the situation. If I am traveling 20 miles or more, I customarily charge a flat fee for extra expenses. I work with students at the middle school level or above. I have a lot of experience with adult students who are returning to school.
